On August 5, Samsung Display announced the launch of a new foldable screen panel brand "MONT FLEX", focusing on more recognizable and differentiated products, leveraging Samsung's advantages in the field of foldable screen display panels.

According to Samsung Display, the brand name " MONT FLEX " comes from the French word " mont" ( mountain ), symbolizing "the pinnacle of innovation in foldable display panels" and embodying Samsung's vision for future technology. Each letter in the brand name represents the following elements:

• M (Mechanical durability): mechanical durability
• O (Opto-mechanically flat): visual and mechanical flatness (no creases)
• N (Narrow bezels): narrow bezels
• T (Thin and lightweight design): Thin and lightweight design

Jae-Nam Yun, executive vice president of Samsung Display's mobile display panel marketing team, said: "Since we started mass production of foldable mobile phone OLED panels in 2019, we have continuously promoted technological innovation and are committed to creating perfect products. We are the first manufacturer in the industry to apply UTG (ultra-thin glass) and LEAD (IT Home Note: polarizer-free OCF) technology in foldable mobile phones. Following the launch of the 'impact-resistant structure' panel that has passed 500,000 folding tests, we will continue to break through technological boundaries and bring more refined foldable display panels that exceed market expectations."

At the same time, Samsung Display will officially debut the "MONT FLEX" brand at the Korea Display Exhibition (K-Display 2025) from August 7 to 9, and will also exhibit brand products at the same time.
