JPMorgan Chase: Apple's first foldable iPhone will be released in September next year and will cost about 14,000 yuan
On July 30, JPMorgan Chase revealed in its latest report released on the 29th that Apple plans to launch its first foldable iPhone in September 2026, and the device will be included in the iPhone 18 series.

Apple will price it at $1,999, or about 14,343 yuan.

JPMorgan Chase believes that this product will create a $65 billion market opportunity for Apple and is expected to bring high single-digit revenue growth in the medium term.

It is expected that sales will start from the low tens of millions of units in 2027, and by 2028, sales of foldable iPhones will reach about 45 million units.

Currently, global sales of foldable smartphones are expected to reach approximately 19 million units in 2025, and Apple's entry is believed to have a significant impact on the market.

According to leaks, Apple will name this folding screen iPhone Ultra, which will adopt a clamshell design similar to the Galaxy Z Fold series and a dual-screen solution.

Among them, the inner screen is 7.76 inches with a resolution of 2713×1920. It adopts a hole-free design and is equipped with an under-screen front camera.

The external screen is 5.49 inches with a resolution of 2088×1422 and uses a hole-punch screen solution.

It is worth noting that the phone will use new technology to make the crease on the screen almost invisible, which is also the technology that Apple has been working hard on in recent years.

In addition, the phone will also feature a titanium body, a durable liquid metal hinge, two rear cameras, and will use Touch ID fingerprint recognition technology instead of the Face ID technology currently used by iPhones.
