This milestone event not only highlights BOE's major breakthroughs in high-end display technologies such as LTPO, LTPS, and Mini LED, but also injects strong impetus into the development of my country's semiconductor display industry and further accelerates Beijing's process of building an international science and technology innovation center.

As a VR LCD production base with advanced technology and huge production capacity, this production line will give full play to its technological leadership and industrial agglomeration effect, further consolidate BOE's leading position in the industry, and at the same time promote the rapid development of the global virtual reality industry and digital economy.

The total investment of BOE's 6th generation new semiconductor display device production line is as high as 29 billion yuan, covering an area of 420,000 square meters, and the designed monthly production capacity reaches 50,000 pieces. The production line is centered around LTPO (low-temperature polycrystalline oxide) and LTPS (low-temperature polycrystalline silicon) technologies, and focuses on the research and development and production of high-end products such as VR display panels, small and medium-sized high-value-added IT display panels, and automotive display panels. It uses a 1500mm×1850mm 6th generation glass substrate, is equipped with the most advanced production equipment currently available, and incorporates the rich experience of BOE's multiple mature production lines, thereby significantly improving production efficiency and product precision.

In terms of technological innovation, BOE's LTPO technology combines the high mobility of LTPS and the low power consumption of Oxide, which can achieve an ultra-high pixel density of more than 1500PPI and significantly reduce panel power consumption, providing display devices with smoother and clearer dynamic picture effects.

It is worth mentioning that BOE's 6th generation new semiconductor display device production line has also demonstrated strong enabling capabilities in diversified scenario applications. Many of our products have won high recognition from world-renowned first-tier customers for their excellent product performance and leading technological advantages. Among them, the ultra-high 2117PPI Real RGB display independently designed and developed by BOE was successfully lit up, representing the highest resolution level in the current LCD industry.

During the delivery event, BOE showcased a number of products that are ready for mass production, including 2.24-inch 1500PPI and 2.24-inch 1700PPI VR display modules, a 16-inch 240Hz gaming laptop screen (resolution of 2560×1600, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut), and a 14.6-inch narrow-border high-end car central control screen, etc., fully meeting the needs of multiple fields such as the "metaverse", high-end consumer electronics, and smart travel.

In addition, BOE's 6th generation new semiconductor display device production line is also a world leader in sustainable development. By adopting innovative technologies such as clean room airflow centralized control, AI zoned temperature and humidity self-adjustment, and electricity consumption centralized control, BOE has achieved excellent results of 100% heat recovery rate, 80% pure water reuse rate, and average pollutant emissions 50% lower than the standard.

Guided by the "dual carbon" goals, BOE has integrated green concepts into the entire life cycle of products from research and development, production to recycling. For example, the products produced by the production line not only improve image quality but also pay more attention to low power consumption performance, providing sustainable support for the long-term use of the equipment. At the same time, with the empowerment of AI technology, BOE's 6th-generation new semiconductor display device production line has achieved full process optimization including intelligent scheduling, predictive maintenance, and intelligent defect management.
