According to Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman, Apple is planning to launch a series of new products in 2027. Although the pace of new product releases has been a bit slow recently, Gurman said Apple has formulated a "product renaissance" plan, which is expected to be launched in about two years.

Folding iPhone

This wave of product renaissance will kick off with a major product: Apple’s first foldable iPhone.

The device is expected to debut in late 2026 alongside the iPhone 18 series. Although the details have not yet been made public, it is reported that Apple will introduce a number of differentiated designs for it to distinguish it from existing foldable phones such as the Galaxy Z Fold 6, and the price will be positioned in the high-end market.

Apple plans to equip this model with a crease-free screen and a titanium body, emphasizing a stable structure. After the foldable phone, Apple also plans to launch a 20th anniversary commemorative edition of the iPhone. There is currently limited information about this model, but according to Gurman, it will be a major design update. The entire machine will be made of glass, have a curved design, and have no openings on the screen.

New AI Hardware Products

Apple is also developing several new hardware product categories that incorporate its Apple Intelligence technology.

One of the goals is to launch a product to compete with Meta Ray-Ban smart glasses by 2027. Apple is developing a new chip for this purpose and plans to integrate lenses, speakers and microphones into the glasses to give the device environmental perception capabilities, which are expected to work in conjunction with the Visual Intelligence feature on the iPhone.

In addition, Apple also plans to launch new AirPods and Apple Watch with built-in lenses to further expand the application scenarios of visual intelligence.

Siri gets a major upgrade

According to Gurman, Siri is expected to undergo a true AI transformation by 2027. Two key advances will make this possible: Apple's own AI server chip and a completely rewritten next-generation Siri based on a large language model.

The redesigned Siri conversation interface will be launched with iOS 20. It was originally expected to debut in iOS 19, but there have been reports of a delay.

robot

It is rumored that Apple is also developing robot-related products, which are expected to be officially launched in 2027. The plan relies on a smaller smart home hub device that was originally scheduled to be launched this year but has been delayed several times.

Gurman described Apple's first robot product as a "desktop robot with a robotic arm" and will have a built-in AI assistant with personalized interactive capabilities.

In addition, after 2027, Apple also plans to launch another new device category, combining a "foldable iPad" and a "Mac with a touch screen." However, Gurman stressed that this product will not be available until 2028 at the earliest. He also reminded that the above schedule is flexible and the actual launch time may still have room for change.
