Lumineq is a pioneering Finnish technology company headquartered in Tampere, Finland. Established as a spin-off from VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland, Lumineq has become the global market leader in Thin Film Electroluminescent (TFEL) technology. Lumineq’s business is divided into two main categories: Displays and Lighting.
1. Electroluminescent (EL) Displays
Custom Graphic Displays: Tailor-made displays with specific shapes, sizes, and graphics. They can be printed on various substrates including glass, plastic, and metal.
Transparent Displays: Unique see-through displays that allow users to view information while maintaining visibility of the background, ideal for augmented reality (AR) interfaces and heads-up displays (HUDs).

2. EL Lighting & Backlighting

Backlighting for LCDs: Enhancing the performance of traditional LCDs in extreme cold or high-vibration environments by replacing standard LED backlights with EL films.
Decorative Lighting: Custom-shaped light panels for consumer electronics, fashion, and interior design.

Key Technological Advantages
Extreme Durability: TFEL displays have no moving parts, liquids, or fragile glass layers (if printed on plastic), making them highly resistant to shock, vibration, and mechanical stress.
Wide Temperature Range: Operates reliably in extreme temperatures, from -60°C to +85°C (and even higher with special designs), making it ideal for aerospace and arctic applications.
Design Freedom: Can be manufactured in virtually any shape, size, or color. They can be transparent, flexible, or integrated into curved surfaces.
Low Power Consumption: EL technology is energy-efficient, especially for static or slowly changing images, as it only consumes power when the image changes or is active.
