Tianma Launches New-Generation Flexible Curved OLED Display Dedicated to Robots

Core Highlight: Tianma has introduced a new-generation flexible curved OLED display specifically designed for robots. With three core advantages—3D curved lamination, a lightweight architecture, and industrial-grade reliability—it reshapes the facial interaction experience for robots.

According to Tianma Microelectronics, the company has launched its new-generation flexible curved OLED display tailored for robots. Leveraging three core strengths—3D curved lamination, a lightweight structure, and industrial-grade reliability—it is set to redefine robotic facial interaction.

The product employs an advanced 3D curved lamination process that supports 0°–180° form-fitting contour lamination. With high-precision CCD alignment, it ensures distortion-free visuals even when bent. The 5- to 8-inch screen, specifically designed for the eye and brow area, fits seamlessly into the robot's core interaction zone. It delicately renders dynamic expressions such as blinking, eye movements, and emotional shifts, achieving natural and lifelike anthropomorphic expressions.

High-end humanoid robot heads are packed with numerous sensors, requiring highly compact spaces and strict weight limits. This curved OLED display is ultra-light and ultra-thin, generates no backlight heat, and offers excellent vibration resistance. It not only frees up internal space within the robot's head—making it easier to layout sensors and cooling systems—but also reduces the load on the neck motors. This lowers the robot's overall power consumption while enhancing the response speed and precision of bionic movements.

Designed for complex environments such as home, commercial, and outdoor settings, the screen features industrial-grade durability. It has passed thermal shock tests for extreme hot and cold temperatures, operates stably across a wide temperature range, and maintains consistent brightness and color performance over long-term use, ensuring reliable facial display quality throughout the robot's entire lifespan.

Tianma's flexible curved screen is more than just a display; it serves as a medium for robotic perception and emotional expression. As embodied AI continues to advance and see real-world implementation, flexible curved displays are expected to become a standard configuration for high-end humanoid robots.
